B) Social Media Marketing Strategy
Social media is marketing via online social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr, Google+, Reddit, Wikipedia, Instagram and many others. Social networking sites allow individuals to create profiles and connect with each other online. These websites use features such as user-generated content, microblogging or sharing posts/comments/pictures/videos on social networks, friends lists, music recommendations, bookmarks and email integration. The number of available services has increased dramatically since the turn of the century and it is difficult to list all of them here. The best known example of a social media website is Facebook which currently has over 1.4 billion active users every month.
C) Relationship between SEO & Social Media Marketing
Search engine optimization is a process that involves altering a website to improve its rank among other sites in search engine results. In other words, managers can optimize their site for search engine results by making adjustments to the site’s indexing settings and using keywords that are relevant to their business. In recent years, search engine optimization has been considered a process that should be applied to social media sites as well. This is because sites that visitors frequently share via social media sites tend to rank higher in search engines. Therefore, if a business wants to achieve high rankings on a particular site, it needs to consider how they can optimize their content for that site. For example, a travel agency may want to enhance its presence on TripAdvisor which is a social review site for travel destinations. To do so, they can either post positive reviews about their business or encourage their customers to do so by providing discounts or other incentives for those who do so. This way, potential customers can learn more about their business through this travel review website and possibly visit their business based on what others have said about it.
