Social Media Marketing is a new trend in marketing with a high degree of visibility and a lot of customers. The purpose of this article is to give a short outline on how to effectively use Social Media Marketing as a business strategy.
I have been using the social media marketing for my youtube channel since I started it in 2015. In the beginning it was not very effective but as time went by, I got better at it. In this part of the article I will give a brief overview of how this strategy works for my channel.
In the beginning, my channel’s main focus was to make a video about a random topic per week. I made a random video per week for one year and then came up with a new strategy. This new strategy was to make a video every day during the week and publish it on the weekend. So now instead of making 7 videos a week I can make 14 videos per week, having two days left to edit and publish them all.
My channel has an average of around 600 views per month. However, there are some weeks where I don’t publish any video at all and those weeks my channel views increase to around 3,000 views. On those weeks I publish more than 1 video and I also promote my videos on other social media platforms and sites like Reddit and Imgur.
The main social media site that I use to promote my videos is Youtube and Youtube is where I drive most of my traffic from. Although, I do get some viewers from Facebook and Twitter as well. My channel does not have any website or blog attached to it, so all my traffic comes from social media. The more subscribers I get the more traffic I am going to get from Youtube because Youtube recommends videos based on the viewers’ subscriptions.
There are many ways to promote your videos on Youtube; through comments and tags and also by using hashtags and keywords. I promote my videos mainly by commenting and tagging people who would be interested in watching my videos and also by using hashtags and keywords on the videos themselves. I personally feel like using hashtags and keywords on the actual video is far more effective than using them in comments or tags because they are directly related to the video itself.
Also, when you use keywords or hashtags in your video title or description your video gets promoted in Youtube’s search results which means more viewers for you. The main keyword that I always try to use in my videos title is “how to” because that is what people usually search when they are looking for something that they want to know. For example, if someone wants to know how to cook spaghetti they will search for “how to cook spaghetti” not “how to make spaghetti” because when you search for “how to make spaghetti” you will get results for “how to make spaghetti sauce”, “how to make pasta” etc.. Also, if someone searches for “how to make spaghetti sauce” there is no way he will find your video because it doesn’t have anything to do with making spaghetti sauce. So basically, if you want your video to be found in search results you have to take into consideration that people search for “how to” topics instead of descriptive things like “making spaghetti sauce”.
As you can see, Social Media Marketing is a good way for businesses to advertise their products or services. It is very easy for anyone to use Social Media Marketing because everyone has access to social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, Imgur etc.. This type of marketing also saves you money because you don’t need to pay any money to get your product out there; instead you use free platforms like Twitter, YouTube, Reddit etc..and your product reaches millions of people instantly.
Social Media Marketing has many other benefits like promoting other websites like blogs or websites that provide other information that might interest your viewers or clients. You can also promote products or services by linking them in your posts or videos which can help you gain more viewers to your channel or website. Social Media Marketing is becoming more popular every day because it allows business owners or advertisers to reach millions of people without paying anything. All they have to do is put in some work and time into their social media accounts and they can reach millions of potential clients just by posting regularly on their social media accounts.
